caving day

good evening! normally i would have been diving to the rainbow warrior wreck, but the weather on the sea was to bad to go with the boat (3m waves) so i decided to go to the south and do some cavings. first i did a commercial caving tour. this was a guided tour. it takes 30min inside and then a 10 min bush walk. but during the tour i had no time to do good photos and have a look around. everytime the tour guide (maori lady) said to me: i ask u to switch off the light.... and after her little explanations we went straight further on.

the cave was nice, because i can saw some stalagmits and stalagtits and the nicest were the glowwormes. they are doing some pupping and were shining in a blue colour on the ceiling. very attractive and amazing.

here u can see the glowworms.

than i drove to whangarei and i tried to get to my hostel and i some some traffic sign "abbeys cave" this i must see i said to me. and this caves are three different caves in one row.

first the "organ cave", it is about 300m long and i got it to the end. there was much water in the cave, because it rained a lot.... but that was funny for me :)) and it was an open cave, where u need no guides - mmmmh thats what i need. nevertheless many of the stalagtits were destroyed by some silly visitors...

then i got to the "middle cave" - there i did only a small look on it and then i did the last one - the "ivy cave". there was much water in the cave too. this cave has two entrances and i went thorugh the cave. very wet and funny to climb.

the bush was so fascinating, unfortunately u cannot listen to the different noizes - really strange.
