Kaikoura Whale watching

Good afternoon. This morning i went with the company http://www.whalewatch.co.nz/ to the more than 1300m depth canyon 1km near kaikoura for whale watching. we saw some 18 m long giant sperm whales and some hectors dolphins (the smallest dolphin) that was very amazing. the head from the sperm whales is about 6m big. they must be very intelligent with a lot of brain masses...
they have also only one nosehole on the left front nose and can dive very deep to get eg. giant squids (world record was 3295m depth diving what was measured up to now)

these husky dolphins did many back and frontloops - really funny to watch these acrobatics. i hope i will be able to do some swimming with dolphins in christchurch. the wind here is not good for kitesurfing so i can do other things...
